The Solution

In partnership with Nevotek, Cisco and Koc.Net, Divan Hotel management is, yet again, raising the bar in hospitality by transforming its separate legacy network infrastructure into a state-of-the-art converged IP services platform.

What does that mean? Well, how about an in-room phone that knows your name, speed-dials contacts, calculate currency exchange rates, provide directions in your language for a nearby theatre, alerts you in case of emergencies, allows you to send a unified voice message home or to your colleague at work, offers you access to high-speed Internet, allows you un-line ordering of hotel services or displays your flights departure time.

High Speed Internet Access and the IP Phone services provide new revenue stream opportunities for the Divan hotel.

All this is made possible by the NEVOTEK V/IP-suite application in conjunction with Cisco Call Manager and Cisco High Speed Access Services (HSIA).

Whilst V/IP Suite has been fully deployed, Cisco IP-Phones are being gradually deployed in hotel's 177 guest rooms. Divan is now able to provision, via the Cisco IP Phones and NEVOTEK V/IP-suite the type of business-related services that would be expected from a premier hotel:

  High speed Ethernet for guests' PC
  Billing, E-mail, Wake-up, Staff & Guest Service
  Advertisements on telephone screens
  Reservations of hotel facilities via the IP-Phone screen
  On-line weather, currency rate, stock quotes, local information
  Multi-lingual wake-up calls and voice mail via unified messaging
