BUILDING PEACE OF MIND—
Nevotek’s IPT Comfort product
|
CCRE at a Glance
CCRE is a logical follow-on from the voice, video, and data convergence trend that began in the late 1990s. Today, businesses in construction, real estate, and property services are turning their attention to similar convergence opportunities. For these businesses, Cisco Systems created the CCRE framework, designed to deliver capital and operational cost savings, increase efficiency, create new revenue streams, and improve safety and security.
In the CCRE vision, all of today’s building systems—heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); security and access; fire and safety, as well as separate telecommunications and data networks—converge onto a single, easy-to-manage network. Use of IP communications makes this convergence viable, easy, and highly cost effective.
Lower OpEx, Increased Efficiencies
By moving all these building systems onto a single network, CCRE can significantly reduce the expense of supporting multiple systems,
ding training and maintenance costs. In addition, a CCRE system can lower operational expense (OpEx) by helping customers manage energy and water use more efficiently.
IPT Comfort—New Functionality
Working in concert with Cisco IP phones, Nevotek’s IPT Comfort product provides full support for environmental controls, including heat, lighting, cooling, window shades, and any other electronically controlled device. It allows users to manage environmental controls remotely, from any guest room, hospital room, or an intelligent building environment. IPT Comfort also supports the “Cisco Intelligent Home” environment.
“First-generation IPT Comfort users provided us with excellent data to optimize this product,” says Nevotek chairman Tankut Turhan. “With our delivery of the new IPT Comfort product, Nevotek now offers a complete, end-to-end solution to fully support the CCRE framework.” |
