Changing telecommunications
Recent trends in communications integrate data, voice and video on a single packet based infrastructure
in order to make the most efficient use of the available resources.
A prime example of these advanced technologies is the Cisco Systems' Call Manager.
Cisco Call Manager technology based on the Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data (AVVID)
combines Telephony, Data and Video technology at the user level.

Nevotek Paloma
|
Nevotek Paloma is a unique application specifically fashioned for Cisco
Call Manager infrastructure. Based on IP-technology, it is a part of Nevotek 1-4-ALL™ family of applications.
Text messages and pictures with sound messages are effectively pushed upon the XML browser display
of selected IP-Phones.

In order to make the IP-Phones and Cisco Call Manager comprehend, pictures in
"jpeg, gif and bmp" format are converted into "cip" files where sound files with "wav" extension are
converted into raw files, and thus sent thru accordingly.
